San Juan has the most diverse shopping opportunities in the Caribbean Basin.  Upscale Ashford Avenue boasts numerous luxury retailers.  Old San Juan is world-renowned for its boutiques and storefronts.  Old San Juan also is home to an inordinately large number of high-end jewelers.

Plaza Las Americas, just south of the Tourist Zone, is Latin America's second largest mall with over two million square feet of retail space.  The Outlets a few miles east of San Juan are very popular with the budget conscious.
